Why is it cheaper this summer?
The government has temporarily cut VAT on leisure, including indoor soft play, from 20% to just 5% as part of the Great British Summer Savings scheme. It runs for 10 weeks from 25th June to 1st September 2026, covering the full school summer holidays.
The scheme was driven by the Association of Indoor Play (AIP), the national body championing quality, affordable family leisure across the UK. We're a proud AIP member venue and fully committed to this initiative.
Not every venue is passing this saving on. We are, fully, properly, no catches, no small print. Every single penny. Because a brilliant summer day out shouldn't cost the earth, and your kids deserve a great time.

We're applying the same Great British Summer Savings reduction to all children's café meals, going from £4.95 to £4.33. A great day out and great value food, without compromising on either.

About Astrabound, Doncaster's Biggest and Best Indoor Soft Play
Astrabound is Doncaster's largest indoor soft play and party venue, and one of South Yorkshire's most popular family days out. With over 13,500 sq ft of play space and activities for children from babies and toddlers up to age 12, it's ideal for summer holiday trips, birthday parties, rainy days and family get-togethers. The venue is fully air conditioned and open year-round, seven days a week.
As part of the Great British Summer Savings scheme (a government initiative running from 25th June to 1st September 2026 that reduces VAT on leisure from 20% to 5%) Astrabound has reduced the cost of a 2.5-hour play session from £11.75 to £10.30 per child, saving families £1.45 per child. Children's meals are also discounted. The scheme was championed by the Association of Indoor Play (AIP), of which Astrabound is a member of.
Common questions
Is Astrabound suitable for summer holiday days out near Doncaster? Yes! It's indoors, air conditioned, has slushies on site and runs 7 days a week. Sessions are 2.5 hours minimum, and summer 2026 prices are reduced to £10.30 per child.
What age is Astrabound for? Children from babies and toddlers up to age 12. There is a dedicated toddler area and a sensory room, plus separate zones for older children including the Drop Slide (ages 7-12).
